TAG Heuer Unveils Monaco Limited-Edition Timepiece
It features a purple gradient dial and black alligator strap.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Purple Dial Limited Edition has a 39mm square case made of brushed and polished steel with a purple gradient dial, ranging from light at the center to dark at the edges.
The Swiss watchmaker noted the timepiece’s roots are in the Heuer Monaco Reference 1113B launched in 1969, and the 1533 Calibre 15. Over time, the watches’ blue paint over brass dial had a tendency to patinate, showing a lighter color in the center and darker color at the edge.
The effect is intentional in the Monaco Purple Dial Limited Edition, which has purple details throughout, like a purple lining on the inside of the black alligator strap.
The in-house chronograph movement Calibre Heuer 02 is visible through the sapphire case back, featuring a customized oscillating mass, column wheel, and engravings with purple details.
The caseback is engraved with each timepiece’s edition out of 500.
With an 80-hour power reserve, the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.
The dial has a black minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, a permanent second indicator at 6 o’clock, and black hour chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. There are rhodium-plated applied indexes and hour and minute hands coated in Super-LumiNova.
The Monaco Purple Dial Limited Edition is available this month exclusively at TAG Heuer boutiques.
It is priced at $7,150.
