Natural Diamond Council Appoints Editor-in-Chief
Fashion industry veteran Sam Broekema will head consumer-facing platform Only Natural Diamonds.

Only Natural Diamonds is the multi-channel digital umbrella for consumers, encompassing projects like NDC’s advertisements with current ambassador Ana de Armas.
Effective Feb. 28, Only Natural Diamonds will have its first editor-in-chief, fashion industry veteran Sam Broekema.
Broekema will lead content strategy across digital platforms, “[furthering] the modern diamond dream” by way of creative projects, NDC said in a press release.
His duties will include executing the Only Natural Diamonds annual trend report by assembling an annual style collective of jewelry editors, influencers, retailers, and stylists.
Broekema earned his stripes at publications such as Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. He was most recently the fashion market and accessories director at In Style, a position he held since 2016.
He said: “I am honored to become the first editor of Only Natural Diamonds. I am excited to conceptualize what both modern and heirloom jewelry mean for consumers now, and celebrate the long and rich history of diamonds in culture, fashion, and the arts.”
According to the NDC, Only Natural Diamonds is a leading digital destination for diamond jewelry lovers, gaining Internet eyes through both content output and advertising.
Its online diamond content, from any source, earned 130 million unique visitors across the globe last year, NDC added.
NDC Managing Director Kristina Buckley Kayel said,” Sam brings an exceptional vision to the world of natural diamonds based on his passion for the category and adjacent experience in fashion and culture. We are thrilled to work with Sam in this new capacity and are energized to see his expert point of view come to life through Only Natural Diamonds.”
