Lucapa Recovers Another Big Diamond in Angola
This time, the diamond mining company found a 104-carat chunk of white rough that is Type IIa and D color.

Lucapa, Angola--Lucapa Diamond Company announced that it recovered a 104-carat white diamond from its Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.
The rock is the fourth over 100 carats to be dug up by Lucapa this year and the fifth total since mining operations began at Lulo in January 2015.
Lucapa operates solely in its namesake region of Angola with corporate headquarters in Perth, Australia.
The company found a 39-carat pink diamond at Lulo earlier this month. In February, Lucapa recovered a 404-carat diamond, the largest ever to be found in Angola. That rough sold for $16 million.
The 104-carat diamond has been confirmed as a Type IIa diamond from testing on a Yehuda colorimeter. It is a D color stone.
Lucapa operates in Angola in partnership with Empresa Nacional de Diamantes E.P. (known as Endiama), Angola’s national mining company, and private group Rosas & Petalas.
