Heritage Auctions Adds 2 New Hires to West Palm Beach Office
Sebastian Clarke and Katherine van Dell, frequent appraisers on “Antiques Roadshow,” will join the new office.

The auction house is relocating from its Palm Beach office, which opened in 2016, to a larger, street-level office and gallery in nearby West Palm Beach.
Sebastian Clarke will take on the role of managing director for the new office.
The auction world veteran was formerly the senior vice president at Doyle Auctioneers and Appraisers in Palm Beach.
Prior to that, he worked for Sotheby’s as the director of the English and Continental Furniture and Decorative Arts department and as a specialist in the European Furniture department.
He was also the director of the English and Continental Furniture department at Freeman’s in Philadelphia and the director of Trusts and Estates at Rago.
Clarke, who has been an auctioneer for more than 20 years, is a former member of the board of directors for the Appraisers Association of America and is a USPAP-compliant certified member.
Katherine van Dell will serve as the office’s director of jewelry. The jewelry specialist is a Gemological Institute of America gemologist as well as an appraiser.
Van Dell started her career at Freeman’s before leading the jewelry department at Rago. She was also a vice president and jewelry specialist at Doyle.
“As Heritage Auctions has grown, so too has the number of our clients who call the Sunshine State home,” said Greg Rohan, president of Heritage Auctions.
“We are thrilled to be all-in on our growth in Florida. Opening a new location in West Palm Beach for hosting clients at auction previews and events, and increasing the number of Heritage experts and specialists in Florida allows for additional exciting ways in which to engage with collectors across the state.”
Clarke and van Dell have both appeared frequently as appraisers on PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow.”
