Piece of the Week: Marie Lichtenberg’s ‘Candy Cane’
The designer created three sweet versions of this necklace, which is chic enough to wear all year round.

Unlike turkey, however, this author actually enjoys candy canes, whether swiped from a festive holiday bowl or rendered in gold and diamonds and worn around one’s neck, à la Marie Lichtenberg.
The Paris-based designer recently held a press breakfast at La Mercerie in New York, and it was an early morning feast for the eyes.
The designer’s signature lockets were on display alongside her new bold letter scapulars, ingenious Magic 8 Ball, and “Dick in a Box” ring, because, why not?
It’s tough to play favorites with Lichtenberg’s jewelry, but there is something so sweet-yet-chic about her “Candy Cane,” the name she’s assigned to a simple, round, three-dimensional bar necklace set with a swirl of diamonds.
The necklace is available in 18-karat yellow gold with diamonds ($7,400 retail), or in gold with purple or blue enamel, also both with diamonds ($7,520).
It can be worn on a gold chain or paired with one of the designer’s colorful silk cords.
While the purple and blue enamel are lovely, this author will keep her candy canes merry and bright in plain gold, thank you very much.
Happy holidays to all, and to all, a good night.
