Peter Smith’s Latest Book Is Out Now
Called “The Sales Minute,” it contains 101 tips for those working in retail.

“The Sales Minute: 101 Tips for Retail Salespeople” is a companion piece for retail salespeople that provides quick tips in an easily accessible format.
They can reach for the book anytime and put the tips into practice during the course of a normal workday. Managers can also use the book for sales meetings.
In the book, Smith states the obvious—such as why smiling matters (even when you’re wearing a mask) for salespeople—as well as the less obvious, like why presenting a customer with too many options is actually a bad idea.
“The Sales Minute” is available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, where it cracked the list of Top 100 Leadership/Training books, as well as other booksellers.
It is in paperback and priced at $16.99
“The Sales Minute” is the third book from the industry veteran and sales expert.
“Hiring Squirrels” came out in 2014, while “Sell Something” was published in 2016.
Smith also is a longtime National Jeweler contributor, writing the “Squirrel Spotting” column that focuses on sales tactics as well as general retail trends and research.
