Piece of the Week: Ananya’s ‘Scatter' Hoops
They master the art of crafting a gemstone color gradient.

Whether more neutral-inclined or a follower of the adage “the brighter the better,” some designers just have an edge when it comes to color.
Ananya from designer Ananya Malhotra is that kind of talent. The designer launched her brand in 2017 but has really hit her stride with her most recent collection, “Scattered,” which features generous sprinklings of petite diamonds and colored gemstones, combined on a statement scale.
These “Piece of the Week” hoop earrings mix custom-cut fancy shaped stones in the vein of baguettes with round cuts to interesting effect. They’re extra pleasing to the eye due to their perfect ombre gradation.
Crafted in 18-karat rose gold with rubies, pink sapphires and diamonds, they sell for $10,520. Inquiries may be directed to the brand’s website.
