Greek Designers Featured in Charity Auction
The sale supports The Hellenic Initiative’s mission to fund Greek entrepreneurs and NGOs to aid the country’s economic recovery.

New York—Greek fine jewelry designers are chipping in to support an endeavor that benefits economic recovery in their country.
The Hellenic Initiative is holding a live and silent auction this Friday at its sixth annual gala in New York City, and a number of designers have donated jewelry to the sale. They are: Lalaounis, Nikos Koulis, Diane Kordas, Minas, Alexandra Koumba, Vanessa Geroulanos and Danelian’s Diamond Club.
The sale, which encompasses items like vacations, fine art, books, dining and various experiences, will benefit entrepreneurial programs in Greece as well as Greek non-governmental organizations that foster economic development and provide crisis relief, particularly to children.
THI was founded in 2012 to lead the Greek diaspora in contributing to Greece’s economic recovery. At last year’s gala it raised more than $2 million.
In addition to the Greek jewelry designers represented in the silent auction, Shinola donated two timepieces, a women’s watch and a men’s watch. Additionally, costume jewelry line Madly Made for Patricia Field donated three pieces inspired by Greek symbols and rendered with a kitschy twist.
The Hellenic Initiative Gala will be held at the New York Hilton Midtown. See all auction listings online.
