Piece of the Week: Little H’s Ruby Pearl Pendant
The pearl designer’s latest one-of-a-kind piece is instantly recognizable as her own.

If you see a pearl that’s been carved out and filled with an array of gemstones, then you’ll know it’s the work of Hisano Shepherd, the designer of little h.
For Shepherd, pearls--particularly the baroque variety--act as her canvas and gemstones her paint, forming jewelry that resembles natural geodes.
Her latest one-of-a-kind piece utilizes pearls in several different ways. Shepherd embedded reclaimed rubies and freshwater seed pearls in a large freshwater soufflé pearl pendant, which is hung from an Akoya pearl necklace. The design also features 14-karat gold and diamonds.
The “Finestrino Collection” pendant retails for $4,860. For inquiries, contact sales@littlehjewelry.com.
