Piece of the Week: Brooke Gregson Trapiche Emerald Necklace
It’s an ode to the Tucson gem shows and Valentine’s Day all in one.

One might assume red rubies or pink sapphires and tourmalines are the gemstones that best represent Valentine’s Day classic colors, but green is the color associated with the heart chakra, making emerald just as appropriate.
The gemstone fanatic would be delighted to have received Brooke Gregson’s one-of-a-kind trapiche emerald pendant for the holiday, which was on display at the recently concluded JCK Tucson jewelry trade show.
It combines a couple elements that make Gregson’s work so special—an interesting gem choice with a cool enamel over engraved metal.
Gregson’s “Mandala” necklace is crafted in 18-karat yellow gold with a 0.66-carat trapiche emerald surrounded by diamond pave and enamel.
It sells for $5,700 on BrookeGregson.com.
