Piece of the Week: Margot McKinney’s ‘Fantasy’ Necklace
This pink pearl necklace with detachable Burmese spinel pendant is featured in Neiman Marcus’ 2018 Christmas Book.

This year’s Neiman Marcus Christmas Book featured an elaborate array of fantasy gifts, from a VIP trip to all four tennis majors to an in-home candy bar stocked with 1 million pieces of candy.
But for the jewelry lover, the real fantasy item was this Margot McKinney necklace.
The 18-karat white gold “Exotic Abundance” necklace consists of pink cultured freshwater pearls with a detachable 20.05-carat Burmese spinel and 9.41 total carats of diamonds plus a single detachable pearl.
It’s available through Neiman Marcus. At $850,000 it is priced higher than the aforementioned fantasy items, though less expensive than the Christmas Book’s $7 million yacht.
