Amanda’s Style File: That’s the Point
Marquise, pear, trillion and shield shapes are hot in today’s jewelry designs.

Marquise, pear, trillion and shield shapes are hot. Love them or hate them, you should be embracing these alternative shapes; with round, cushion and ovals unequivocally dominating in classic jewelry and engagement rings, there’s a growing subset of women who want something edgy and unique.
Each cut and shape brings its own distinct energy.
Marquise shapes can make a smaller stone look larger, the finger look longer and when turned horizontally they look ultra-modern. Trillions make classic side stones but are even better as standalone stones in rings, earrings and pendants. Lastly, shield shapes instantly make the wearer feel superhero vibes.
Here are a few of Amanda’s Style File selects of jewels with edgy shapes (literally), either in stone selection or metalwork.
