Piece of the Week: Picchiotti’s Flower Brooch
The brooch was one of the gems the Italian jewelry brand brought to Baselworld.

Basel--Picchiotti brought this nature-inspired brooch to Basel.
The sizable pin features a 28.67-carat cushion-cut spessartite garnet as the center of the flower while the petals are set with 26.39 carats of round F-G, VS diamonds set in 18-karat white gold.
It is one of the pieces in the new Picchiotti Classics collection the Italian jewelry company showed at Baselworld, which Giuseppe Picchiotti said he designed to be worn for generations.
At the show, Picchiotti also introduced “Essentially Color,” a collection that goes beyond rubies, sapphires, emeralds and colored diamonds, and expanded the Xpandable Collection, the line of rings and bracelets it introduced two years ago.
As the names suggests, the rings and bracelets in the Xpandable line are flexible, expanding to fit wrists and fingers as needed.
