Piece of the Week: Daniela Villegas’ Vape Container
Legalization of the adult recreational use of marijuana takes effect in California in January and some fine jewelry designers are reinterpreting stoner culture.

Marijuana consumption just got a lot more chic.
As California gears up for the Adult Use of Marijuana Act to take effect on Jan. 1, legalizing recreational use of pot in the state, some fine jewelry designers are taking the opportunity to redefine the trappings of stoner culture.
Los Angeles-based Daniela Villegas, famed for her distinctive insect and nature-themed designs, has combined functionality, jewelry and an objet d’art with her glamorous new vape container, designed via a partnership with luxurious “maker of cannabis treats,” Beboe.
This 18-karat yellow gold vape container, which doubles as a necklace, is adorned with lapis lazuli, blue sapphires, tsavorite and white diamonds, and perfectly fits one of Beboe’s pre-filled, single-use vaporizers.
To be filed under decadent purchases, the vape container retails for $46,000 at Just One Eye in Los Angeles.
