The Girl Scouts of Nebraska recently paid a visit to Omaha, Neb. retailer Borsheims as part of an arts-based fundraiser for the organization.
Called artVenture, the fundraiser celebrates collaboration with businesses and creativity, bringing the scouts out into the community to learn from professional artists in a variety of mediums while creating pieces that are then sold at the artVenture gala. At Borsheims they, of course, learned about making jewelry.
Meanwhile in New York City the Women’s Jewelry Association Metro Chapter’s Mix and Mingle event took place Monday night at the Manhattan gallery of designer Kristin Hanson. The Mix and Mingle is a monthly members-only networking event for the WJA Metro Chapter.
These events, plus the recent Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association gala in Tucson, are covered in this edition of The Week in Photos.
