New to Couture, Lito brings classic gold designs
With a small but growing presence in the United States, designer Lito Karakostanoglo made her Couture debut this year, showcasing both her classic collections and latest designs.
The brand’s Hive collection is the designer’s interpretation of the moment when light hits a gemstone and how the light showcases the stone’s shape and form.
A lace-like gold lattice pattern accents the stones used in the line. Hive features gold rings, bracelets and earrings set with rose-cut brilliant diamonds.
Also on display at the show was Lito’s new Treasure Box collection, which gives a similar look but wrapping the honeycomb pattern around colored gemstones.
Inspired by Aztec motifs, the Izel collection is well suited for the geometric trends that have been popping up in fine jewelry as of late.
In addition, Lito brings a modern touch to the classic “evil eye” motif in the Tu Es Partout collection.
Lito is available in select stores across California, New York, Oregon and Washington, but the designer said at the show that she is looking to expand her presence in the U.S., which is a very strong market for her designs.
