Live from Couture: New from Stephen Webster
Stephen Webster unveiled his new Albion Rose collection at this year’s Couture show, comprised of two suites of jewelry inspired by British culture, art and design.
The first suite in the collection is the plumage-inspired Magnipheasant, which offers 18-karat white and yellow gold pieces with diamonds and vibrant gemstones including amethyst, citrine, topaz, opal, garnet and sapphire. The pieces in this line are tipped with black diamond pavé to emulate the pheasant’s feathers.
The second suite in Albion Rose is Lady Stardust, which is inspired by David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust persona and features the lightning bolt motif from the artist’s “Aladdin Sane” album.
With geometric patterns in 18-karat white and rose gold, the Lady Stardust line offers bracelets, drop earrings, cocktail rings and pendants with semi-precious gemstones, sapphires and pearls, as well as white and black diamond pavé to create a “dip-dye” effect of graduated color.
Retail prices for pieces in the Albion Rose collection range from $3,500 to $100,000.
