Africa inspires new Forevermark collection
De Beers diamond brand Forevermark and designer Waris Ahluwalia have released their first collaborative collection, House of Waris for Forevermark.
The 13-piece line features design themes inspired by Ahluwalia’s recent trip to South Africa and Botswana to follow the journey of a Forevermark diamond from mine to market and take part in how the responsibly sourced diamonds benefits the communities from which they originate.
The collection is anchored by a pendant featuring a 12.06-carat “exceptional” Forevermark diamond, and also offers rings, stud earrings, drop earrings, pendants and a bracelet, all made in 18-karat yellow gold with round brilliant Forevermark diamonds.
The collection has four themes: Drop, Southern Star, Lantern and Compass.
House of Waris and Forevermark unveiled its first collaborative piece in July 2012, the “Light Emanating from the Heart” pendant, which featured a 14.58-carat oval Forevermark diamond with cosmic spikes of pavé diamonds projecting from the center. The oval diamond was the largest Forevermark diamond ever featured in a designer collaboration.
“Forevermark prides itself on its carefully selected diamonds, and as such, we take great measures to partner with talented designers who can complement our 125 years of diamond expertise,” said Charles Stanley, president of Forevermark U.S. Inc.
