AGS Labs Introduces Online Enhancement to Grading Report
Only My Diamond comes with the Diamond Quality Document and is an interactive way to “bring the grading report to life.”

Las Vegas--American Gem Society Laboratories announced the launch of a new online service this week called Only My Diamond, which is intended as an internet-based enhancement to the lab’s Diamond Quality Document (DQD).
Only My Diamond has:
--A downloadable PDF of the DQD, which the AGS says was the first grading report to offer a complete analysis of the 4Cs, including cut, from a premier diamond grading lab;
--A video of the buyer’s diamond, the AGS’ proprietary ASET image;
--An Optical Precision Map, which illustrates the facet alignment;
--A rendering of the diamond’s clarity plot along with an explanation of what the markings mean;
--A proprietary light performance diamond quality graph;
--A close-up of the diamond laser inscription; and
--Definitions of the four Cs.
The idea behind Only My Diamond is to give suppliers and retailers a more interactive way to present a diamond to customers, bringing “the grading report to life,” the AGS said, while providing details on the four Cs accompanied by visual and descriptive explanations of that specific stone’s characteristics.
Only My Diamond can be accessed through AGS Labs’ Report Verification portal.
Those who have Only My Diamond, which is an add-on to the DQD and can be offered by suppliers and retailers to their customers, can see it by typing in their report number and the diamond’s carat weight.
Editor's note: This story was corrected post-publication to reflect the fact that there is a fee for the Only My Diamond service; it is not free, as previously stated. Anyone interested should contact the customer service team at AGS Labs.
