GIA Debuts Jewelry Design, Tech Program in NY
The Gemological Institute of America’s Jewelry Design & Technology diploma program now is being offered in both Carlsbad, Calif. and New York City.
New York--The Gemological Institute of America now is offering its Jewelry Design & Technology (JDT) diploma program in New York.
In New York, the 26-week program is being taught at the GIA campus in the International Gem Tower. The rooms house the latest manufacturing technology for jewelry design and engineering, product development, custom orders, manufacturing, jewelry repair and quality assurance.
The inaugural class started on Jan. 14 and will run through July 22. The second class starts Sept. 29 and ends April 28, 2017.
