Gemstone Jewelry Brand Color Story to Be Discontinued
Owner and designer Robert Leser will sell off the remaining inventory at a discount at JCK Las Vegas.

New York--After more than two decades in business jewelry designer Robert Leser announced he will discontinue his Color Story brand of colored gemstone jewelry.
Leser started the company in 1997, going on to launch collections like Rhapsody, Strand, JewelMesh and more.
“I’ve been doing this for 21 years. The market has really changed for gemstone jewelry and designers,” he told National Jeweler about his choice to bring the brand to a close.
Leser has had a long career in the industry so far. His history includes stints as a third generation rough diamond dealer and sight holder, as a dealer in top-tier polished diamonds and as a private jeweler.
He also created the Tulipset brand of engagement ring, which was acquired by Stuller Inc., and then in 2016 launched LovePendants, the engraved and enameled crystal charm company.
Leser said the latter is where he will now put his focus.
“It’s an easier business. I don’t have to reinvent the wheel with it because it’s one product with so many options.”
LovePendants carries a variety of charms with symbols ranging from initials to animals to zodiac signs, allowing customers to build their own personalized and customized necklaces and bracelets.
Single charms retail for $64 and the collection goes up to about $200 to $300 for multi-charm bracelets and necklaces.
Leser will sell all of Color Story’s inventory at a discount at the LovePendants booth at JCK Las Vegas (Booth B26146). All models, molds and loose gemstone inventory also will be available for sale.
