ICA Elects Clement Sabbagh as Its Next President
He will succeed Benjamin Hackman of Intercolor and will take over at the International Colored Gemstone Association’s upcoming congress in Jaipur.
New York--The International Colored Gemstone Association board of directors has unanimously elected Clement Sabbagh, of Ben Sabbagh Brothers in Brazil, as its next president.
He will take over for outgoing President Benjamin Hackman of Intercolor in New York.
The presidency will be transitioned at the ICA’s congress in Jaipur, India, slated for Oct. 21 to 24. The newly elected directors also will move into their roles at this time.
Sabbagh has been with the ICA since 1997, serving as Brazil’s ambassador, voting director, working on various committees and also serving as advisor to the board and chair of the Congress Committee for the past two years.
He and his brother, Samuel, both have Graduate Gemologist diplomas from the Gemological Institute of America and own Ben Sabbagh Brothers, representing the second generation of the family to mine, cut and supply a variety of colored gems through the company.
