Ramat Gan, Israel--The Israel Diamond Exchange has elected Yoram Dvash as its new president. He succeeds incumbent President Shmuel Schnitzer, who served one two-year term.
Dvash Diamonds manufactures all its stones exclusively in Israel and markets its production abroad through offices in major diamond trading hubs across the world. The company is now counted among the top 20 diamond exporting firms in Israel, according to the IDE.
Dvash has been a member of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association since the start of the century and also served a term on the board of the Israel Diamond Institute.
He joined the board of directors of the IDE in 2013. He currently serves as treasurer as well as the chairman of both the IDE’s Industry and Manufacturing Committee and the Marketing and Foreign Affairs Committee.
He is the “driving force” behind the establishment and development of the IDE’s Centre for Manufacturing and Innovation, the group said, which was established to ensure that diamond cutting and manufacturing will not only remain in Israel but also contributes to the diversity and growth of the Israel diamond sector.
