Genesis sets date of first summer silent auction
Toronto-based Genesis Rare Diamonds will hold the “The Radiant Diamonds of Summer” auction on July 5 and will donate the proceeds from the sale of one diamond to a local nonprofit.

Toronto--Genesis Rare Diamonds is kicking of its summer auction season with “The Radiant Diamonds of Summer” silent auction on July 5 at 1 p.m. at its Toronto offices.
The event will feature more than 200 diamonds and diamond jewelry pieces.
For those unable to attend in person, all auction items will be available for viewing and private bidding on the auction page of the company’s website.
The highlights include the following:
--A fancy grayish yellowish green cushion-cut diamond weighing 4.05 carats;
--An 18-karat gold ring featuring a 1.10-carat fancy intense yellow diamond;
--A platinum ring with an oval-cut, 0.37-carat Argyle fancy pink diamond; and
--And a marquise-cut fancy orange pink diamond weighing 0.41 carats.
The colored diamond company also will be partnering with nonprofit Yellow Brick House for one of the key diamonds in the auction. The proceeds from the sale of a rectangular-cut, 0.50-carat fancy yellow diamond with VVS1 clarity, named the Yellow Brick Diamond, will go directly to the organization.
Yellow Brick House provides emergency shelter, counselling and support services to abused women and their children in the greater Toronto region.
