GJEPC elects new chair, vice chair
Praveenshankar Pandya now is chairperson of India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, while Rosy Blue’s Russell Mehta was elected GJEPC vice chairperson.
Mumbai--Praveenshankar Pandya is the new chairperson of India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the trade organization announced late last week.
Russell Mehta, CEO of Rosy Blue Pvt. Ltd., was elected GJEPC vice chairperson, also until 2017.
Serving in the position of regional chairpersons are Ashok H. Gajera, western region; Dinesh Navadiya, Gujarat region; Anil Sankhwal, northern region; Pramod Kumar Agrawal, Jaipur region; Mahendra Kumar Tayal, southern region; and Prakash Chandra Pincha, eastern region.
The members of the Diamond Panel Committee of the GJEPC’s newly constituted Committee of Administration are Ajesh N. Mehta, Dilip M. Shah and Manish P. Jivani (general category); Saunak J. Parikh, Anil B. Virani, Sanjay K. Shah and Kirit A. Bhansali (status holder category); and Nirav J. Bhansali (micro small and medium enterprises category).
Members elected to the Jewellery & Other Precious Metal Jewellery panel are Mansukhlal V. Kothari (general category); K. Srinivasan and Shailesh H. Sanghani (status holder category); and Balram Garg (special economic zone category).
Elected to the Colored Gemstones & Pearls panel are Kishan Das Maheshwari and Vijay Kedia (general category).
Elected to the CFJ/SFT/SYS are Jitendra Kumar Rakyan (general category) and Ram Babu Gupta (silver jewelry, general category).
All of the above individuals will hold their posts until 2017.
