Kassoy Restructuring in Wake of Showroom Closure
The supplier of tools and other products for jewelers is going to launch a refined catalog next year that its owner said is going to “take us back our roots.”
Plainview, N.Y.--Kassoy LLC, a U.S. supplier of tools and other products to jewelers, said it is restructuring its operations to “drive long-term growth in the jewelry industry.”
The company, which now operates exclusively from its headquarters in Plainview (Long Island) and online, said it will be launching a “refined” catalog next year and that company owner E.R. Bosch is leading the restructuring efforts.
The news follows August’s announcements that Kassoy would close its 47th Street showroom at the beginning of September and that its president, Joanne Slawitsky, had resigned.
Bosch is acting as interim president.
In a release announcing the restructuring, he said, “Kassoy has been an industry name for almost 80 years. In 2017, we will launch a refined catalog, which will take us back to our roots, offering a carefully chosen selection of quality products and services that our customers can count on, as well as a showroom on-site in Plainview for local customers to visit.”
