Helzberg Gives Customer 48 Hours to Propose
As part of its “We Propose You Propose” Valentine’s Day promotion, Helzberg Diamonds told one man that he could have his engagement ring for free if he popped the question within 48 hours.

Kansas City, Mo.--Though Helzberg Diamonds has long been a part of helping hopeful grooms-to-be with their proposals, the retailer decided to take it up a notch this Valentine’s Day.
Kyle Loethen thought that he was in a documentary about ring shopping. Then, once he had picked out the engagement ring, an Artiste by Scott Kay with a 1.5-carat cushion-cut stone, Helzberg told him that they would give him the ring for free, with one catch--he had to propose in the next 48 hours.
The #WeProposeYouPropose video series follows his story from the moment he’s asked if he’s willing to propose, to deciding and planning how he’ll pop the question to then-girlfriend Madison Burke, to the moment he gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him. (Spoiler alert: She said yes.)

Helzberg said while the story of Loethen and Burke is its focus for Valentine’s Day, plans to extend the “We Propose You Propose” offer to more grooms are in the works.
As part of the campaign, the company also is inviting grooms to sign up for exclusive offers and updates, as well as come to Helzberg Diamonds for proposal tips. It also is inviting consumers to share their proposal stories on social media using the hashtag #WeProposeYouPropose.
