New York--Jewelry brand David Yurman opened a new store in Edina, Minn. on Tuesday, the company’s first boutique in the Midwest state known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
New York-based architectural firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates designed the store, which is located in The Galleria shopping center. The interior of the 1,449-square-foot store reflects the brands “luxurious yet relaxed aesthetic,” featuring classically modern architecture.
It will carry classic David Yurman collections, including gold and sterling silver designs for men and women, Cable Kids, timepieces, fine jewelry and the Wedding Collection. Newly launched collections will be available, including the Hampton Cable and Starburst collections and pieces from Petite Pave.
The brand also is reportedly opening its second New York City location with a new 4,200-square-foot store in the city’s SoHo neighborhood.
The brand has signed a lease for a location on Prince Street, taking over the space from fashion designer Karen Millen, who will move out by the end of the month, according to the New York Post.
The company declined to comment on the report.
Other jewelry companies with storefronts in SoHo, a popular shopping area of the city, include Tiffany’s and Fragments showroom. The neighborhood also is home to a number of big fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors.
The other David Yurman store in New York City is the brand’s flagship, a multi-level shop located at 712 Madison Ave.
There are a total of 30 David Yurman retail locations throughout the United States, France, China and Canada, a market the brand just entered. David Yurman jewelry is also available at authorized fine jewelry retailers worldwide.
