Judith Ripka, Swarovski launch new line for QVC
New York--Designer Judith Ripka has teamed with Swarovski to create a new line of sterling silver and cubic zirconia jewelry for multimedia retailer QVC.
Eight pieces from the Judith Ripka “Double Brilliant” collection are slated to debut Dec. 6, ranging in price from $80 to $300. Additional pieces will be featured on the network on Dec. 17.
Each stone is laser-engraved with a specially developed, microscopic “Judith Ripka” laser engraving, invisible to the naked eye and causing no effect on the stone’s brilliance, QVC said.
This is not the first time that Judith Ripka has been featured on QVC--she began designing a sterling silver collection for the retailer in 1996, which has been its top-selling designer jewelry brand ever since, according to the company. The New York-born and -based Ripka has been designing jewelry since 1977, working in 18-karat gold with diamonds and other precious gemstones.
Double Brilliant is Swarovski’s first with a jewelry designer for a collection with QVC and it is the first time Ripka has teamed with the Austrian crystal company.
