New York--An “Ultimate Diamond Experience” with Forevermark toting a price tag of nearly $2 million is among the “Fantasy Gifts” listed in Neiman Marcus’ 2013 Christmas Book, a catalog of holiday-ready luxury items that include the extremely lavish and extravagant.
The Ultimate Diamond Experience, priced at $1.9 million, begins with a trip to the De Beers headquarters in London, where the gift purchaser will receive a 25-carat rough Forevermark diamond that they can name and have hand-cut and polished by De Beers.
From there, the purchaser will tour the Crown Jewels and have dinner with De Beers and Forevermark C-level executives before traveling to the coast of Namibia to see where the 25-carat rough diamond was discovered within the ocean floor.
A tour of rough diamond sorting houses and a children’s community project will follow, ending with a meeting in the United States with New York jewelry designer Maria Canale to design a ring for the diamond.
Other jewelry items included in the Christmas Book include pieces from David Yurman, Oscar de la Renta and Alexis Bittar that range in price from $125 to $19,500; personalized 14-karat yellow gold necklaces from designer Zoe Chicco, which range from $295 to $1,430; and 14-karat gold Darth Vader and Yoda cufflinks, priced at $4,200 and $4,000, respectively.
The most expensive item in the Fantasy Gifts section of the Christmas Book is an outdoor entertainment system priced at a modest $2.6 million. It includes a 201-inch screen that is stored underground when not in use, advanced-grade speakers and a built-in movie package.
Clothing, accessories, furniture, a motorcycle and art also are among the products listed in the Christmas Book, which can be viewed page-by-page on the Neiman Marcus website.
