Kering Appoints New President for Americas Region
The luxury conglomerate promoted General Counsel Ewa Abrams to the role, succeeding Laurent Claquin.

Ewa Abrams, a former Tiffany & Co. executive who joined Kering Americas six years ago, has been promoted to the role.
She succeeds Laurent Claquin. Claquin started in the newly created role of chief brand officer for the entire group on July 1.
Abrams’ appointment is effective Aug. 1.
A graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Abrams earned her law degree at Brooklyn Law School.
She spent nearly 18 years at Tiffany & Co., serving as vice president—associate general counsel, and chief compliance and privacy officer.
Abrams joined Kering Americas as general counsel in 2018.
She serves on the board of the Kering Foundation in the Americas and co-chairs Women In Luxury Americas, an internal program.
She also has worked as an adjunct professor of law at Fordham University since 2016.
Kering said Abrams’ experience with the company and knowledge of the luxury industry will support its strategy and development in the Americas region.
