The jewelry appraisal platform will offer discounts to CJA members through the association’s benefits program.

Calgary, Alberta— Instappraise, a cloud-based jewelry appraisal software and management platform, has joined the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA).

The Calgary-based company features a comprehensive, innovative array of tools it said appraisers can use to efficiently produce professional, court-ready appraisal documents. Its mission is to support the industry by making its technology accessible to those joining the jewelry industry.

Instappraise will also be included as a service provider in the CJA Membership Benefits program, which provides discounts on business services to CJA members.

Through the program, Instappraise will offer a 20 percent discount to CJA members on the first month of their subscription, followed by a 10 percent discount each year the subscriber maintains an active CJA membership.

CJA members who have received a Canadian Accredited Jewellery Appraiser (CAJA) designation, which CJA revamped in 2023, will receive a free year on the Instappraise platform.

“We are thrilled to introduce yet another tremendous benefit to CJA members,” said CJA Membership Coordinator Alanna Campbell, who encouraged all members to take advantage of the benefit.

“Just like our CAJAs, Instappraise understands the importance of providing detailed and accurate jewelry appraisal reports. Instappraise’s cloud-based software allows appraisers to do just that in a user-friendly and customizable environment, all without sacrificing the appraisal report’s style.”

Campbell said she has seen Instappraise’s dedication to supporting its users.

“Having grown exponentially since its inception in 2019, I am certain CJA members will be amazed by the features of this Canadian-owned and developed software including the integration with reports from eight major laboratories and more.”

She added, “Together, the cooperation between Instappraise and the CJA offers a world-class combination of education and business solution for appraisers. Both organizations have a proven track record with a commitment to integrity supporting all areas of the jewelry industry.”

Raphael Boivin, founder and CEO of Instappraise, said the company has planned to join the association since its inception.

“Now that our platform is more refined and mature, we believe the timing is right for us to join this reputed and trusted association and be more involved in the Canadian jewelry industry,” he said.

“Joining the CJA Member Benefits program is more than just about supporting the Canadian jewelry industry. It’s about supporting Canadian entrepreneurship and encouraging the current and next generations of jewelers and appraisers by making the right tools and technologies more accessible to them and their business. We look forward to many years of strong relationship and mutually beneficial cooperation with the CJA and its members.”

Instappraise has also partnered with educational organizations such as George Brown College and the International School of Gemology, as well as with appraisal education providers such as the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.

Its appraisal software and business solution directly integrate with diamond grading report databases from laboratories, including GIA, IGI, HRD Antwerp, and GCAL.

The software’s productivity features include integrated lab reports and pricing data, jewelry quotes, take-in forms, paper and digital appraisal reports, personalized customer portal and more.
