Piece of the Week: Robinson Pelham’s ‘Eye Die 4 U’ Signet
The ring emotes a gothic sensibility through a modern vernacular.

Mourning jewelry, for instance, that openly paid tribute to deceased loved ones through enamel writings, depictions of skeletons, or locks of hair from the departed, was a staple of the Georgian and Victorian eras.
Memento mori styles, so called for the Latin phrase meaning “remember you must die,” may have fallen out of favor in today’s youth-obsessed culture, but now and again, a brand puts its own spin on the dark theme.

The new “Eye Die 4 U” signet ring, unveiled at Couture 2023 commemorates the hyperbolic phrase in four fancy-shaped diamonds.
Diamonds shaped as an eye, a coffin, the number four, and letter “U” are symbols delivering the over-the-top declaration of allegiance.
The 18-karat gold ring with a total 0.9 carats of white and black diamonds is sure to bring a smile to even the most jaded soul.
Priced at approximately $14,187 per current exchange rates, it’s available on the Robinson Pelham website.
