Helzberg’s New Lab-Grown Diamond Collection Earns SCS Certification
The “rêve” collection’s engagement rings and wedding bands are geared toward “sustainability minded customers.”

The lab-grown diamonds in the collection have been certified by SCS Global Services, an organization that provides third-party certification of environmental and sustainability claims across several industries.
Helzberg said the certification makes it the first national jewelry retailer accredited by SCS Global Services to offer diamonds certified under the SCS-007 Jewelry Sustainability Standard.
The retailer sources the diamonds for rêve—French for “to dream”—from Craft Lab Grown Diamonds, a New York-based manufacturer and supplier.
Craft is a division of H.K. Designs, the jewelry manufacturing branch of Indian diamond giant Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd.
“The ‘rêve’ collection promises to deliver the highest standards for environmental responsibility and social consciousness by giving consumers a high-quality diamond that can be transparently traced back to its sustainable origins,” said Hasu Dholakiya, CEO of Craft Lab Grown Diamonds.
Each certified diamond is accompanied by a certificate, highlighting its provenance, journey to market, and its features.
Customers’ calls for sustainability focused brands have grown louder in recent years, and Helzberg said it has geared this new collection to the environmentally conscious shopper.
“The SCS-007 certified rêve lab-grown diamond collection offers sustainability minded customers with a new choice in diamonds that meets their expectations,” said Julie Yoakum, president of Helzberg Diamonds.
The company was one of the first major jewelry retailers to sell lab-grown diamonds in 2017, she noted.
The 19-piece collection has engagement rings and wedding bands, featuring classic solitaires and three-stone rings as well as trendier options, like wrap and open rings.
The lab-grown diamonds come in several different styles, including round-, oval-, and pear-shaped stones as well as emerald and radiant cuts.
The rings are crafted out of “recycled” 14-karat white and yellow gold and packaged in boxes made of recycled materials.
Prices range from $800 for a diamond wedding band to around $8,000 for a 2.62-carat diamond engagement ring.
The Helzberg-exclusive collection is available online and at select Helzberg stores.
