Piece of the Week: Sevun’s ‘Sun, Moon & Star’ Necklace

Fascination with space is at an all-time high, thanks to the recent unveiling of the first pictures from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.
The telescope took a decade of research and development—and the small price tag of $10 billion—to develop, according to NPR, but as the most powerful microscope ever sent into space, it’s brought back some pretty incredible images a lot more detailed than those Hubble ever captured.
Thanks to the photos, we’re learning more about the universe than ever before, and hopefully it’s exciting a whole new generation of scientists.
Aligning almost perfectly with the fascination and excitement of the pictures and what they can teach us, Hong Kong-based fine jeweler Sevun launched its latest collection, Stellar.
The collection draws inspiration from the cosmic world and celebrates the beauty of the universe with stars, moons, planets, and even UFO motifs created in gemstones.
Part of that collection is this week’s Piece of the Week, the “Sun, Moon & Star” necklace.
It’s a perfect homage to the celestial bodies we look up to, celebrating them with the beauty of sapphire, tourmaline, aquamarine, spessartite garnet, tsavorite garnet, red garnet, and diamonds in 18-karat rose gold.
