Auction House Freeman’s Appoints First Rep in Florida
Kate Della Monica, a senior specialist in the Jewelry and Watches department, will relocate to the Sunshine State.

The Philadelphia-based auction house announced Tuesday that Kate Della Monica will relocate to central Florida to work with clients.
Della Monica is a senior specialist in Freeman’s Jewelry and Watches department who joined the company as a department administrator in January 2018.
In Florida, she will be available to clients seeking valuations and paths to consignment across many areas of specialization, centuries, and mediums, with a particular focus on the consignment of jewelry, timepieces, and design objects.
She will work on everything from single items to entire estates, with specialists from Freeman’s other departments regularly joining her to work with clients.
Della Monica is Freeman’s first regional representative in Florida.
She is one of several regional representatives the auction house has added in recent years, including the June 2021 appointment of Tracey Kahle in the Midwest.
“We are continuing our ambitious expansion plans for Freeman’s,” Freeman’s CEO Fraser Niven said. “At the heart of that expansion is a firm commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of our client base.
“We’re delighted to appoint Kate Della Monica as the company’s first regional representative in Florida. Her presence will be indispensable to clients throughout the state and region.”
Before joining Freeman’s, Della Monica worked as an assistant director at an art dealing business in Philadelphia.
She attended undergrad in Philadelphia, receiving a bachelor’s degree in 3-D Fine Art from Moore College of Art & Design, and is a Gemological Institute of America Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and a USPAP-compliant appraiser.
In addition to her work in the visual arts, Della Monica is a musician who has traveled the country playing original work.
