Lindsay Lohan’s Engagement Ring Is a Classic
Jillian Michaels also popped the question to her girlfriend over the holiday weekend.
This Greenwich St. Jewelers “Baxter” diamond engagement ring is a similar style to the one Lindsay Lohan showed off in her Instagram engagement announcement. Featuring a 1.9-carat cushion-cut diamond set in recycled platinum with round brilliant diamond pave, it sells for $16,600 at GreenwichJewelers.com.
New York—Congratulations are in order for Lindsay Lohan.
Over the long holiday weekend the actress took to Instagram to announce her engagement to under-the-radar boyfriend Bader Shammas.
Lohan, who is perhaps best known for her child acting years (“The Parent Trap” remake) and “Mean Girls,” flashed what appears to be a cushion-cut or radiant-cut diamond solitaire ring with a telling caption.
She wrote: “My love. My life. My family. My future.” She tagged her boyfriend and capped it off with a diamond ring emoji.
Per media reports, the white gold or platinum ring is from Harry Winston, with various experts pegging the classic style to cost upwards of $150,000 and as much as $250,000, with the center stone weighing between 4 and 6 carats.
She is one of a number of celebrities to go the classic route when getting engaged as of late. Kourtney Kardashian, HGTV star Christina Haack, and Britney Spears are among those who said “yes” to simple styles this year.
Lohan and her fiancé, an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse, reside in Dubai, where the actress and entrepreneur has lived for several years. They’ve been dating for two years.
She has been engaged once before, to former boyfriend Egor Tarabasov in 2016. That engagement ended quickly, with Lohan revealing she had purchased her $240,000 emerald engagement ring herself.
Long out of the Hollywood scene, Lohan recently shared on social media that she is starring in a yet-to-be-titled Netflix holiday film that will be out next year. She’s also inked a deal to host a podcast.
Lohan wasn’t the only celebrity to kick off proposal season over the long weekend.
Fitness trainer and reality star Jillian Michaels, best known for her stint as a coach on now-defunct weight loss competition show “The Biggest Loser,” announced her engagement to girlfriend of three years, DeShanna Marie Minuto.
Per People Magazine, the three-stone ring features an approximately 7-carat emerald-cut diamond center stone flanked by 1-carat trapezoid diamonds each.
H&H Jewels in Coconut Grove, Florida created the ring.
Michaels has been engaged once before, to former partner Heidi Rhoades, with whom she shares two children.
