EBay is opening a series of curated pop-up shops stocking hard-to-find gifts ahead of the holidays. These gifts will include watches from Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and other brands.
San Jose, Calif.—EBay announced Wednesday that it is opening a series of pop-ups in cities across the country, stocking normally out-of-stock gifts this holiday season.

The “Hard To Find” eBay luxury pop-up shop will open in Miami from Dec. 10-11, selling Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags, gifts from Gucci’s “Psychedelic” and “Floral” collections, and rare timepieces from Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet, Rolex and other brands.

The company told National Jeweler these hard-to-find watches will include:

— Richard Mille men’s RM11-04 Mancini Carbon TPT;
— Audemars Piguet Royal Oak self-winding Flying Tourbillon Green Dial;
— Richard Mille RM35-02 automatic-winding Rafael Nadal men’s watch;
— Rolex Daytona men’s Platinum Ice Blue Dial watch; and
— IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Rétrograde Platinum 5044.

As for the exact location of the luxury pop-up, that may also be hard to find, as eBay is taking a speakeasy-style approach to these holiday shops.

Customers will have to check eBay’s social media channels the day before launch for helpful hints, though the final location won’t be revealed until opening day.

Luxury watch listings on eBay continue to grow at double-digit rates, said the company.

The most popular brands so far in 2021, based on the number of items sold, are Rolex, Omega, and Gucci.

Watch shoppers on eBay spend big on other categories as well.

The average luxury watch buyer who purchased a $2,000+ watch spent more than $9,000 in watches and $8,000 on more than 50 items in other categories.

The most expensive luxury watch sale on eBay this year was a Patek Phillipe Grand Complications Nautilus, which sold for $230,000.
