Jewelers Mutual Launches ‘The Zing Report’
The new publication and its weekly newsletter will feature jewelry-focused content.

The newly added Zing Report will feature jewelry-centric content, covering trends, fashion, retailers, charity endeavors, industry personalities, trade show travel, and more.
The monthly publication’s tagline is “Celebrating our industry.”
Mark Smelzer, chief content executive for Jewelers Mutual, will be tasked with overseeing the content.
“When we surveyed the B2B jewelry industry publication landscape, we realized a huge opportunity existed for a celebratory, ‘feel-good’ publication focusing on all the good in our industry. We hope this new vehicle entertains, informs, and helps execute on Jewelers Mutual’s goal of ‘raising the tide of the jewelry industry,’” said Smelzer in a press release about the Zing Report.
He’ll work alongside former JCK editor Emili Vesilind, who has been named the new senior content editor at Jewelers Mutual.
“There are so many people quietly doing great things in the jewelry and gem industries, and we can’t wait to shine a spotlight on these innovators and changemakers,” said Vesilind.
The Zing Report will also produce a weekly newsletter sent via email.
