Kiran Gems Opens New Factory in Surat
The diamond supplier said its new factory/office is 200,000 square feet and houses the latest planning and cutting tools for rough diamonds.

Mumbai--Massive diamond manufacturer Kiran Gems has a new factory/office in Surat, India, that can house more than 10,000 “diamond artisans.”
Kiran said the facility is 200,000 square feet in size and houses the latest state-of-the-art tools for planning and cutting rough diamonds.
From the new facility in Surat, the diamonds are sent to the company’s specialized polishing units in Ahmedabad and Surat.
It also will help support demand from its jewelry business, which has experienced robust growth in the past few years due to the “growing and stabilizing economy” in United States, Kiran said.
The company’s jewelry division sources more than 90 percent of its diamonds from Kiran, and the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities will help give the jewelry division access to special cuts and colors and give it more supply for the major U.S. retailers it serves.
Kiran Gems, a supplier of natural loose diamonds and graded diamonds to retailers and diamond jewelry and watch manufacturers, has offices in India, China, Belgium, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
