New York--National Jeweler has named Jewelers of America’s Matthew Tratner as publisher and industry veteran Nancy Kelly as sales executive, effective immediately.
As publisher, Tratner will be responsible for managing the sales and business operations of the trade publication. He has a strong background in jewelry sales and operations, including his current position as director of membership and sales at Jewelers of America--a role he will continue to serve in as JA and National Jeweler operate independently of each other.
He also has served as the chief operating officer and partner at GemsAround.com and as a sales and operations executive at Maya J Diamond Jewelry. Additionally, Tratner is a GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional.
In her new role as sales executive, Kelly will be focused on working with advertisers and connecting them with the industry’s top retailers.
Prior to joining the company, Kelly was a partner at Old World Chain, a producer and importer of gold jewelry that is still owned and operated by Carolyn Kelly. She also worked as executive vice president of sales at Roberto Coin.
“Matthew and Nancy each have a depth of industry experience, knowledge and close relationships that are an invaluable asset to National Jeweler,” JA President and CEO David Bonaparte said.
National Jeweler was acquired by Jewelers of America in February from Emerald Expositions, the owner and operator of the JA New York Shows, Couture and the U.S. Antique & Jewelry shows.
