New York--Jewelers for Children has guaranteed entries for the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, which allows for participants to select to raise funds for the charity.
JFC has access to five entries that will be given on a first-come, first-served basis to registrants who sign up with the organization, and also meet all eligibility and participation requirements of the marathon.
Runners who claim a guaranteed spot in the marathon, or those that secure a spot during the lottery period that ends April 21, can build a JFC fundraising page and ask friends and family to support their effort by donating.
JFC is asking that participants fundraising for them raise at least $1,000.
The Chicago Marathon is scheduled for Oct. 11. The annual event attracts runners from across the country and around the world, with more than 10,000 participants supporting 172 charity organizations. Since 2002, the marathon has helped to raise more than $115 million for these charities.
Participants can find additional information on the JFC website or by contacting Executive Director David Rocha at 212-687-2949 or david@jewelersforchildren.org.
