New JVC quiz tests retailers’ knowledge of the law

New York--The Jewelers Vigilance Committee is hosting a contest that asks entrants to take a quiz on legal compliance for the chance to win a free or discounted membership to the organization.
The contest, which runs until March 11, asks participants to visit the JVC website to take the quiz about laws that pertain to issues in the jewelry industry, such as stamping of precious metals, alloys and the use of terms such as “cultured.”
One non-JVC member will win a free one-year membership, and a current member will win 15 percent off next year’s dues. JVC will choose the winners at random but both must have received perfect scores--all correct answers--on the compliance quiz.
In addition to online, the quiz also can be taken at the JVC’s booth (booth 1200) at JA New York Winter show, which ends Tuesday, or at the MJSA Expo New York show, which will take place from March 9 to 11, at booth 1717.
Winners will be announced on March 14 and notified via email.
