IJO appoints four new board members
The Independent Jewelers Organization has named three retailers and one vendor to its board of directors for a three-year term.
Southport, Conn.--The Independent Jewelers Organization has named three retailers and one vendor to its board of directors for a three-year term.
The appointments were effective Jan. 1. The newly selected retail members are David Hevia of Kiefer Village Jewels in Lutz/Land O’ Lakes, Dade City, and Brandon, Fla.; Chuck Kuba of Iowa Diamond in West Des Moines, Iowa; and Dina Unwin of Sterling Jewelers in Wethersfield, Conn.
The new vendor member is Frank Farnsworth of Parlé/Idaho Opal and Gem in Pocatello, Idaho.
They replace outgoing board members John Hancock of Hancock Jewelers in Goodlettsville, Tenn.; Terry Quinn of Quinn’s Goldsmith in Occoquan, Va.; Connie Thurmond of Connie & V. Cross Jewelers in Bossier City, La.; and Brian Fleming of Carla Corp./Nancy B in East Providence, R.I.
The board consists of nine retail and two vendor members. The new appointees will be serving with the current members, who are:
--Linda Hagan of Jewelry Creations in Dover, N.H.;
--Jeff Hampton of State Street Jewelers in Geneva, Ill.;
--Jeanne Katsuro of Classic Rock in San Jose, Calif.;
--John Laughter of John Laughter Jewelry in Waynesville, N.C.;
--John O’Rourke of Montica Jewelry in Coral Gables, Fla.;
--Joel Wiland of J. David Jewelry in Broken Arrow, Okla.; and
--Jeff Wynkoop of Quality Gold in Fairfield, Ohio.
