Appointments: Stuller names new VP of bridal

Maren Rosen has been promoted to vice president of bridal and jewelry at Stuller Inc.

New York--Maren Rosen has been promoted to vice president of bridal and jewelry at Stuller Inc.

Her former title was executive director of bridal and jewelry.

Rosen joined Stuller’s merchandising team in 2011, and in 2013 took responsibility for its jewelry segment where she replicated many proven bridal processes and strategies.

Francesco Trapani has resigned as head of the watches and jewelry division at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, effective March 1.

He will become an advisor to the chairman on matters relating to the group’s jewelry operations and remains a director on the LVMH board.

The group’s jewelry maisons--Bulgari, Chaumet, Fred and De Beers--will now report to Toni Belloni, LVMH group managing director.

Jean-Claude Biver, president of Hublot, will take responsibility for TAG Heuer and Zenith.

Former Gucci executive Matt Marcus has been appointed chief marketing officer at Gemvara, where he will continue to grow the brand and strengthen its position in the luxury jewelry industry.

Marcus has more than 15 years of experience in global marketing, design strategy and business operations, having served as vice president and executive creative director at digital advertising and marketing agency R/GA, where his clients included Grey Goose, Capital One, MillerCoors and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Prior to R/GA, Marcus designed and established Gucci’s global e-business presence and was responsible for building teams and digital capabilities for the eDivision in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Susan O’Connor has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing at Slane, where she will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all sales and marketing initiatives, reporting to creative director and CEO Landon Slane.

O’Connor most recently served as vice president of national sales at Ippolita, and prior to that was vice president of sales at Roberto Coin.

Frances Diniz is now a sales associate at Mastoloni for the brand’s West Coast territory. Diniz has a strong background in luxury jewelry.

Herschel Hiat has been appointed senior vice president of sales at Firestar Diamond, where he will manage brands and proprietary collections at several key national accounts.

Hiat brings 25 years of senior level marketing and branding experience to the position, most recently serving as the executive vice president at Bulova.

The Responsible Jewellery Council has re-certified Historic Originals Ltd., Metalor and Windiam BVBA as meeting the ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards as established by the council’s member certification system.

Metalor’s subsidiary in Singapore also has been certified against the council’s Chain of Certification Standard, which supports responsible, conflict-sensitive sourcing in supply chains via a chain of custody through certified entities.
