New York--Amy Greenbaum, managing director of marketing and development for the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, died Sunday following a 15-year battle with cancer.
Greenbaum had been with the JVC since 2002.
She joined the company with more than 20 years of communications, special events and fundraising experience.
Prior to JVC, Greenbaum owned her own marketing consulting firm, which launched successful marketing and public relations campaigns for major corporations such as Sony and large pharmaceutical companies.
“Amy’s impact at the JVC will be felt for years to come,” JVC President and CEO Cecilia Gardner said in an email. “JVC’s annual campaign and luncheon is a success today because of the templates she invented and institutionalized.”
“To date, through (the annual campaign), JVC has raised sufficient funds to enable (it) to grow in effectiveness and serve the entire industry.”
Greenbaum is survived by her husband, Neal Kushner.
Donations can be made in her name to Fred’s Team, which raises money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where Greenbaum was treated, as well as to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
There are no details regarding a public memorial service for Greenbaum at this time.
