CPAA offers another trip to pearl farm
The Cultured Pearl Association of America has launched its third annual fundraising event, this time raffling off a trip to Fiji to benefit its initiatives to promote cultured pearls awareness and education.
Providence, R.I.--The Cultured Pearl Association of America has launched its third annual fundraising event, this year offering a trip for two to Fiji.
The prize includes an all-expenses-paid trip for two to visit to the J. Hunter Pearls farm and a stay at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort.
Proceeds from the raffle will directly benefit the CPAA’s s initiatives promoting awareness and education of cultured pearls.
At Justin Hunter’s pearl farm, the winners will get to take a take a tour of the company’s flagship farm and showroom in Fiji, experiencing the journey of the company’s unique pastel-hued pearls, which start as tiny nuclei embedded into the flesh of black-lipped oyster and end up in fine jewelry pieces.
They also will get to see how the pearl farm is keeping the marine environment of Savusavu Bay in its pristine condition and contributing to the local community.
The Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is located on the shores of Savusavu Bay on Fiji’s second largest island, Vanua Levu. It’s surrounded by some of the most outstanding reefs in the world, and the area is unique for its soft coral.
Winners of last year’s CPAA raffle received a trip to the Kamoka Pearl Farm in Tahiti and a stay at the Le Meridien Hotel.
