JA Announces 2016 CASE Award Winners
Jewelers of America has released the names of the four winners of its CASE Awards, which recognize JA retail members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.

New York--Jewelers of America has released the names of the four winners of its CASE Awards, which recognize JA retail members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.
Winners were selected out of 42 entries from JA retail members in five categories. Many of the winning pieces this year feature hand-crafted designs with unique stone settings, reflecting trends in both bridal and fashion jewelry.
The first place winner in each category is as follows.
--Jewelry Up to $2,000 and Buyers’ Choice: Lisa Perantoni of Khamis Fine Jewelers in Indianapolis
--Jewelry $2,001 to $5,000: Jason Baskin of The Gem Vault in Flemington, N.J.
--Jewelry $5,001 to $10,000: Ricardo Basta of Ricardo Basta Fine Jewelry in Los Angeles
--Jewelry $10,000 and Over: Jess Roussel of Roussel’s Fine Jewelry & Gifts in Gramercy, La.
The CASE Awards took place at the JA New York Spring show from March 13 to 15, where a panel of industry experts judged the entries.
Voting in the Buyers’ Choice category, meanwhile, was open to all JA New York attendees.
Synchrony Financial and Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company sponsored this year’s CASE Awards. Winners receive a trophy from JA.
