The heat is on
To say that I’m excited that summer is finally in full swing is an understatement. This was a long, hard winter, followed by a very busy spring, and I’m glad that it’s finally time to sit back, relax and soak up the sun.
(I’m even listening to a playlist on the music streaming site Songza called “Tropical Beach Vacation” as I write this at my desk, just to get the right vibes.)
That’s why I love all the summer- and vacation-inspired jewels that I’ve been seeing lately; they seem to share in the sense of celebration and wanderlust that the season brings with it.
Take a look at eight jewels that are channeling the summer season, preferably while listening to a relaxing playlist of your own.
The one-of-a-kind “She Sells Seashells” ring from Wendy Brandes, featuring a hand-carved rose quartz and diamonds in 18-karat rose gold, is delicate enough to be wearable on many occasions while still giving off a unique, summery vibe.
This Moderna diamond and 14-karat gold starfish pendant from Effy makes me want to go take a walk on the beach.
J/Hadley’s coral, pearl and diamond earrings give you all you could want in a summer earring—a great pop of color set in a classic design.
I love when Vincent Peach combines his leather elements with intricate, carved details. This necklace features an elk antler seahorse and a freshwater pearl clasp in leather, giving off an edgy, beachy look.
Pamela Huizenga’s new Silver Lining necklace, featuring a blue chalcedony cloud with a diamond frame in 18-karat gold, has such a warm feel to it.
Shagreen Et Tortoise is a brand I recently discovered, and immediately fell in love with, on Instagram. The brand offers a line of shell rings set in a vintage-inspired style. This Gypsum Octopus Ring is crafted from a natural pecten vexillum shell and finished in 18-karat gold vermeil, with a rhodolite garnet accent.
These 14-karat gold, diamond and aquamarine pear-shaped drop earrings from Anzie’s new Coralia collection are perfect for those who have been summer dreamin’ like me.
