Celebs put an (unusual) ring on it
Golden tones in jewelry were big among celebrities in January and February, as they rocked pieces that were either metal-heavy or featured diamonds and colorful gemstones.
Big, vivid gem earrings also were popular as were ornate rings, either multi-finger or unconventionally shaped.

Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick wore Colette’s diamond and moonstone two-finger ring to the Hollywood Stands Up to Cancer event on Jan. 28 in Culver City, Calif.
Olympic medalist Lindsey Vonn wore Jacob & Co.’s long rose gold and diamond pavé disco ball earrings at the fourth annual Hall of Games Awards on Feb. 15 in Los Angeles.
On Feb. 11, Kendrick was spotted at the Jenny Packham show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York wearing the sterling silver and rutilated quartz “Tiki” ring by Joan Hornig.
Zoey Deutch of the new movie Vampire Academy donned 14-karat rose gold and rhodolite garnet earrings by Dana Rebecca Designs ($6,660) to the film’s premiere after-party on Feb. 4 in Los Angeles.
The Hunger Games’ Elizabeth Banks accessorized with Graziela Gems’ onyx and smoky quartz earrings ($240) for the Feb. 5 New York screening of The Lego Movie.
Model Chrissy Teigen wore Sutra’s blue sapphire earrings to the Donna Karen New York 30th anniversary fashion show on Feb. 10.
Also accessorizing with Sutra jewels recently was first lady Michelle Obama, who wore the brand’s earrings for a state dinner at the White House Feb. 11.
On Feb. 15, American Hustle’s Amy Adams attended the 2014 EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nominee party in London wearing Melissa Kaye Jewelry’s 18-karat yellow gold and diamond ring ($3,190).
Amber Heard also wore Melissa Kaye Jewelry recently, donning the brand’s 18-karat pink gold and black and white diamond ring ($2,255) on Feb. 12 to the Hollywood premiere of 3 Days to Kill.
On Feb. 16, actresses Léa Seydoux (left) and Uma Thurman both wore Chopard to the BAFTA Awards in London.
Frozen’s Kristen Bell donned Brumani’s translucent quartz earrings to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills on Feb. 15.
